Module 00 : Before we start

Go ahead, speak up - mistakes welcome!

Welcome to Module 1!

We’re starting with the French you actually need when you arrive in France. Not perfect French. Just useful French you can start using straight away.

You’ll learn how to introduce yourself, make an appointment, go to the stadium, ask questions… and start chatting.

How does it work?

1. WATCH & LISTEN 🎧

Each theme has a video, audio or PDF. Listening is your priority. Don’t try to remember everything!

2. PRACTISE A LITTLE EVERY DAY

Use your Weekly Plan and do the little challenges — 5–10 minutes a day is perfect. Send them to me on WhatsApp before our video call. It’s all practice!

3. THEN WE TALK! 🎥

Our video call is where we bring everything together. We reuse what you’ve seen and actually talk.

You can write a few notes when you prepare, but remember: real life doesn’t come with notes. 😜 So don’t prepare everything word for word or Google Translate every sentence before sending me an audio.

Make mistakes! They’re part of it. We all remember that HUGE language mistake we made once and thought: “OK, never again!” 😂

And remember: this Learning Space is YOUR space. Come back whenever you want to listen again, practise or have a quick refresh.

Ready? Let’s go! 🇫🇷💬

🎧 In this short coaching audio, I’ll guide you to imagine yourself a few months from now.

Grab a piece of paper and a pen, press play and just follow along.

What would you love to be able to do in French?
How would you like to feel?
More confident? More independent? More connected to the people around you?

Don’t think about levels or perfect French. Think about your real life in France and what you want to be different.

At the end, you’ll have a clearer picture of YOUR goal — and that’s where we’re starting.

Keep that piece of paper somewhere safe. In a few months, take it out again and see how far you’ve come. ✨

Start with “je” « tu » and “on”: these are the building blocks of everyday French.
  • “Je” = I → simple, personal, essential.

  • “On” = we / people → super common in spoken French instead of “nous.”

    • On va au resto ? → “Shall we go to the restaurant?” ✅

Once you’re comfortable with “je” and “on,” you can add “vous” to your toolkit — this is your polite form for talking to someone formally or showing respect.

« Il » and « elle » can also refer to things — like “it” in English.

💬 Keep the conversation going
  • Et toi ?   [ é twa ]

    = And you ?

  • Toi aussi ?  [twa osi]

    = You too ?

  • Moi aussi !  [ mwa osi ]

    = Me too!
