“We exchanged numbers.” ☕🤍
That’s the message I received after our last WSF Third Half.
And I remember just pausing for a second… smiling.
Because on the surface, it sounds simple.
But it wasn’t simple at all.
It was the result of something very specific.
The theme of the session was:
“Chat & Connect.”
Nothing complicated. Nothing academic.
Just a starting point. A direction.
And that’s exactly what it became.
It started at 9am.
Coffee. A small group of women.
Not many. Just enough to feel close.
And from the very beginning, something was clear:
The conversation wasn’t going to me.
It was going to each other.
« You’re moving soon, right?”
And immediately, the space changed.
Because yes : you are all in that exact moment of life.
New country.
New club.
New routines.
New everything.
And suddenly, the theme “chat & connect” wasn’t an idea anymore.
It was happening.
“Yes, I’m moving next month… I don’t really know what to expect.”
“Oh! I lived there.”
And just like that… the conversation took off.
Not structured. Not guided.
Just flowing.
“Would you recommend it?”
“Is it a nice place to live?”
“Are your kids happy there?”
“Have you found a house yet?”
And everything was in French.
Real French. Spoken French. Shared French.
Not for me.
For you. Between you.
And then something shifted again.
Less “questions for learning”…
More “support in real life”.
Someone says:
“Wait… I might know someone. A friend is moving out.”
And suddenly, it’s not just a conversation anymore.
It becomes action. Help. Connection.
Later, I got the message:
“We exchanged numbers.”
And again… I smiled.
Because yes.
Of course you did.
That’s what happens when people feel safe enough to speak, share, and be real.
This is what WSF really is.
Not a class.
Not a lesson.
Not a list of things to learn.
But a space where:
* you speak in real French
* you talk about your real life
* you listen to each other
* you help each other
And where language becomes something else entirely:
A bridge.
So if you’ve ever thought:
“I can understand French… but I don’t dare to speak.”
“I feel a bit alone here.”
“I wish I had women I could actually talk to.”
Then this is your space.
Not to perform.
But to connect.
Girls want to join the next Third Half?
It happens once a month.
Simple. real. No pressure. No perfection.
Just conversations that often go further than you expect.
You want to join the next one? It’s right here : CLICK you’ll stay in the loop !
And maybe next time…
You’ll be the one saying it:
“We exchanged numbers.”
À bientôt !
