I’m Faustine, a qualified French and FLE teacher, with over 14 years of experience.
But my work didn’t grow only in classrooms.
I share my life with Julien, a former professional rugby player who is now a sport scientist in a Top 14 club.
So my life follows the rhythm of the rugby world : the seasons, the transfers, the sudden moves, the uncertainty that exists behind the matches.
For years, I’ve met women at the club, on the sidelines, between two training sessions.
Women who had just arrived in France.
Women who were adapting quietly.
Women who were supporting their partner : while putting their own life on hold.
I’ve helped them with French, yes.
But most of all, I’ve listened.I’ve heard the doubts.
The moments where it feels easier to let someone else speak for you.
The frustration of understanding, but not being able to express yourself.
And then there is family life.
I’m also a mum.
So I know that adapting to a new country is never just about you.
It’s about your children, their school, their doctor, their friends.
It’s about wanting to feel confident when you make decisions : not always relying on someone else.
That’s when I understood something essential:
you don’t just need French lessons.
You need support to build your life here.
I also understood that the traditional school system doesn’t fit this reality.
You don’t learn when you’re afraid of making mistakes.
You don’t progress when you feel judged or rushed.
You learn when you feel safe, supported, and encouraged to try.
That’s why I created a different way of learning French.
A method rooted in real life.
In daily practice.
In speaking, even imperfectly.
In daring.
In consistency : not pressure.
Teaching, for me, has always been about more than grammar.
It’s about confidence, autonomy, and finding your place.
That’s why I created Women Speak French.
A space designed for women like you :
to support you, motivate you, and help you feel at home in France, in your life, and in your French.
